The ceiling of the historic Boulder Tunnel is reflected in a pool of standing water, just last weekend outside of Wickes, Montana.
The Boulder Tunnel contains the original railroad bed that ran from Helena to Butte. The tracks are now long gone, but the railroad bed is still explored by ATVs and jeeps year-round. The tunnel bores completely through the mountain, at a staggering distance of 6,145 feet - just under 1 1/2 miles.
